Orange Crush
Founded in 1998, Orange Krush Foundation (formerly Team Krush Foundation) is a University of Illinois
student run Foundation intent on improving the quality of life for the Champaign-Urbana and campus
communities by providing financial support and contributing community service to area not-for-profit
organizations.
Unlike other student sections that simply require their members to buy a season ticket, to join the Orange Krush
students must raise money for charity by soliciting pledges from the community for every 3-point shot the Illini
make in the current season. In 2005-2006, over 10,500 donors from 40 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands,
the Phillipines, and Guam contributed.
During the 2005-06 season, a new record was set with over 1,200 students in the Orange Krush. Because only roughly
half get to sit on the floor, students arrive early to get the best seats.
