Since 1978, five or six prizes have been awarded annually in the Sciences. Prize fields comprise: AGRICULTURE, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS, MEDICINE and PHYSICS. In the Arts, the prize rotates annually among ARCHITECTURE, MUSIC, PAINTING and SCULPTURE.
Laureates receive their awards from the President of the State of Israel. The prize presentation takes place at a special ceremony at the Knesset Building (Israel's Parliament), in Jerusalem.

3 Salisbury, Glenn W. Glenn Salisbury is recognized for his outstanding achievements in basic and applied research on artificial insemination. Agriculture 1981
4 Sprague, George F. George Sprague is recognized for his outstanding research on the genetic amelioration of maize for human welfare. Agriculture 1978
5 Stevenson, Frank J. Frank Stevenson is recognized for his pioneering contributions to our understanding of the chemistry of soil organic matter and its application to agriculture. Agriculture 1995
