| The Labor and Employment Relations Association, founded at the University of Illinois in 1947 as the Industrial Relations Research Association, is the singular organization of professionals interested in industrial relations and human resources, including union leaders, managers, government officials, and scholars. LERA’s national office is located on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The organization is committed to the encouragement of research in all aspects of the field of labor, employment, and the workplace.
