1	Dorner, John (Jack) K.	Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Illinois (1970-84). While at the University of Virginia he received the nation’s highest award in nuclear technology, the US Department of Energy's Ernest O. Lawrence Memorial Award. Dr. Dorning’s research spans several areas including: Fission Reactor Theory; Reactor Safety; Theoretical and Computational Charged and Neutral Particle Transport; Theoretical and Computational Fluid Dynamics; Theoretical and Computational Plasma Physics; and Bifurcation, Nonlinear Dynamics and Deterministic Chaos.
